Taylor's 7th Birthday Party!

This post is believe it or not.....celebrating my baby Taylor....her 7th birthday!! it does make me a little sad....where the last 7 years have gone. but it also makes me proud....taylor brings joy to our lives and makes us smile and very proud!! she is a beautiful little girl who loves to have a great time. we celebrated her birthday at a local swim recreation center! it was tons of fun and we tired out all 8 of them!!! Happy Birthday Taylor!!!

Field day!!

So field day this year summed up in one word....COLD!!! the sun finally came out of lunch but most of the water games for Taylor's class were before lunch so we had a lot of shivering little ones!! It was though lots of fun and exhausting!! there was a fire truck spraying water on the screaming kids, a huge slip in slide, games and races!! it was fun!! so here are some pics from the day. the slip n slide was the best!!

Taylor done with 1st grade!

Taylor's last day of 1st grade was today!! last Friday she had a parent program at school where her teacher shared some "candy" awards for each kid and their personalities. Taylor's award is "skittles". Mrs. Pearson gave her that award for all of the beautiful art work Taylor brought into the classroom!! Every journal entry Taylor made she drew these amazing pictures to go with it!! she is our little artist!! You will also notice in these pics....our artist will have to go on a 3 week break!! Taylor fell at the park the other day and she has a buckle fracture on her right wrist. In these pics she is wearing a soft cast, but she got a hard cast yesterday (pink of course) and will get it off middle of June. can't believe the school year is over already!!!! but excited for summer time!! summer starts out with a bang with Uncle Corey(my brother) and Aunt Bernadette in town for a fun visit!!! Beautiful kiddos!!

Family Vacation!!!!

Well, we just got back from Hawaii!!! Don had enough airline miles to fly all four of us and enough Hilton points for us to stay for free so we headed out on our first vacation just the four of us!! It was a great time of relaxing and swimming and snorkeling. the girls had a blast and did good on the planes! It was hard to narrow down my pics...we took a lot but enjoy!! The girls loved all of the different pools and the slides!!

Our anniversary surprise from the hotel!! we celebrated 8 years while we were there! hard to believe that but time flies!

The hotel had a dolphin experience right there! you can actually swim with them if you want to pay for it:) we opted for getting up early and watching their morning routines which included the dolphins getting their teeth brushed:) the girls were thrilled with that!!

These next few pics crack me up. we went to a restaurant that had a little stage in front. Maddie ran up to it and started to do her hula moves she learned at kids camp and she didn't know it but the people behind her were enjoying her show:)

Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!!! hope you all had a great Easter and a great time with your family. It was a great week for us talking to the girls about Good Friday and what that is and what Easter is and why that is so important. The girls really understood it this year and asked lots of questions. As for celebrating Easter......the day before the girls and i went to my mom's house and colored Easter Eggs and then on Sunday we went to church and then took a friend from church out to Easter lunch with us. When we got home we had an Easter egg hunt and the girls found their baskets. It was a great day remembering what Jesus did for us!! Enjoy some pics from our weekend. Its funny really. when we went looking for dresses.....THEY are the ones that always want to be dressed alike....they love it. i am sure when they get older i will get in trouble for making them always the same but that is what they ask for!! aren't they cute!!!??
