Camp Out

On Friday night my mom came over and we dug out our old tent and set it up to have a camp out in the backyard. Much to the delight of the Talley girls.:) The girls absolutely LOVED running in and out of the tent during the day and when we got the sleeping bags out they were SOLD on the idea. they were so pumped and excited.....they were up till about 11pm (very late in their world!). Taylor was up about 6am the next morning, but all in all it was a great night and lots of fun for them. Maddie of course is always asking when we are going to set the tent back up for another camp out!! I took a few pics to share with you....

Running around in the dark with flashlights is actually very entertaining when you are 6 and 4:)

Kid quotes

Well, i wanted to get a couple quotes written down so that i would have record of them for later!!

Madison....4 years old
She will give me a kiss.....rub her heart and say "its in my heart now mommy!!"

Madison has a horrible, disgusting and annoying habit.....she puts things in her mouth ( like a baby). She will find a string on the floor or some toy or something and put it in her mouth. I am always catching her with things in her mouth and telling her to get it out!! it is gross. Well earlier this week i caught her again while i was driving and i said "Madison, get that out of your mouth....ahhh...WHY do you do this!!!" To which her reply was this "Mommy, maybe Jesus made me the little girl who puts things in her mouth!!".........to which i replied...."maybe not!!!"


Taylor...6 years old

She started 1st grade and her teacher (after meeting don and i at back to school night) asked Taylor what her daddy did for a living?? To which our 6 year old said very proudly "He tells kids about Jesus!!!" TOO CUTE!!

100th post.....

WHO KNEW???? that i would still be updating this blog after 10 posts:) blogging was just something i discovered by following a friends blog and it has become a great way of having an online diary about pics and what has been going on!! i know i haven't been the greatest at updating it lately but i do have to be impressed that i am still doing it!! i know a lot of you don't comment on this blog (i get a lot of e-mails about the blog and what you all read) but i a way i am curious....who all is following our little journey and how you heard of this blog??? so if you want to go crazy and click the "comment" button under this post that would be awesome!! Don did a knew blog header for us as a surprise to me:) it was cute!!


Well, this last week was another end to our summer and another beginning to a school year!! we had one last day of swimming and eating treats and then the next morning....harsh reality....getting up early and out the door and in the car off to school:) (none of the talley's are morning people!!) we got the girls cute new school haircuts and i took some pics to show you all!! here is maddie lookin cute....(she knew if she smiled quickly i would hand over the brownies):)

SO....taylor is off to 1st grade this year....A WHOLE DAY....it seems long...but she loves it!! she is my social little bug who makes friends and loves new things. she was so excited to go to 1st grade and pack her lunch and best of all.....she gets 3 separate recesses!! Taylor loves it. i can't believe she is already 6 and growing up so fast.
