Well, the talley household is doing well and excited for Halloween!!! the girls LOVE dressing up and we go to our church every year and they have little games and a play and both girls are looking forward to that!! Taylor's school is doing a school sock hop. I found a sock hop dress for $4 on ebay!! she has been practicing her sock hop moves that she has learned from gym class!! she came home one day and asked me if i knew the "chicken dance";) My mom came over yesterday and we made some Halloween cookies...both of the girls LOVE cooking and they did a great job this year!!!
Maddie is doing well....her arm is still giving her some pain mainly if she hits it somehow but doing well. This child continues to shake our heads every day!!!!!!!!! not something new.....but something that has become more and more noticeable....Maddie will ask you a question and then SHE will tell you how SHE wants YOU to answer...she thinks she is pretty funny with this routine;) daddy told her this morning he is not playing her little game....but i think he will give in before she does:) Don does have a trip to Florida for meetings middle of this week!! Enjoy the pics!! the first one is of maddie modeling her hat from school and the rest of the pics are from baking cookies yesterday!!! .....there are more pics of maddie during the cookie time....she needed to be entertained while being "patient" and waiting for her turn to come:)...oh the joys of four year olds!!

Medical updates....
Hi!! just a quick post to let you know that Madison DID get her cast off today. we went to children's hospital this morning and they took her cast off and did some more ex rays and said that her bones were healing well and we should just have her be "careful" for the next three weeks.....riiiight!! they must not know maddie very well huh:) so hopefully we can remind her to just be careful!!!
Madison was VERY happy to get her cast off though and she was soooo brave too. when they took it off she at first looked really scared at the saw but then the guy asked her if it tickled and she said yes and giggled the rest of the way through it!! When we were done there we came home to eat and get our stuff around and then took taylor to school. while taylor was at school Don and I took madison to her regular doctor for her four year check. She did really well answering all of the doctor's questions and she is pretty much a healthy kid...minus broken bones of course.
She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 60th for height. Sometimes we feel like maddie is so close to taylor as far as growth goes....but really she is just very average and taylor has always been very below average as far as growth goes!! they really are getting closer in height though which leads to me getting the "Are they twins??" question more often:) Maddie also had a few shots to get today and her flu shot.....i got mine too and i actually got don to get his too!!!!!!!!!!!!!....this is a MAJOR accomplishment!! he is sooooo much worse than the girls....he was feeling brave today though....he even offered to go first. So a lot of running around today getting kids where they need to be but we got everything done and we are looking forward to a nice weekend. i hope to get some good pics this weekend. i feel like i haven't been taking any lately.

Sorry for the delay...
YES....don is finally home!! things have been a little crazy around here since don got home and all but yes he is back and recouping just fine. The travel did take a lot out of him physically but he is at the office today and doing well. I am going to try to get him to blog about his experiences sometime soon!!! The girls were BEYOND excited to see daddy and Jarrod (their cousin). Jarrod stayed here for a couple days after he got back and taylor really enjoyed playing with him. Madison was a little sick when they got home but she is feeling much better now. i am getting back into the routine of cooking;) we are starting to have some fall weather out here although it has been pretty nice lately!! other than that not much else going on.
these pics below were taken the second we got home....the girls anxiously awaiting their "presents"!! don looks exhausted after 41 hours of travel to get home!! OH...the yellow horns....were Free from a YFC gift bag so don thought...sure the girls will love these....they got hidden after about 5 minutes:) Maddie found one yesterday so i had to hide it again!!!
