fact finding mission number one

OK....i guess the tags are getting around cause a girlfriend of mine asked me to interview the girls and have them tell you 10 unique things about themselves so you can get to know them better.



so here it goes:



Taylor:



1. I LOVE to color...i could do it ALL day. i am REALLY good at it.....i have artistic bones in my body....mommy says i must get them from my Auntie Amber cause my mommy has NO artistic bones in her body;)....thanks Auntie.



2. I also love to TALK!!...ha....this is a fun thing for me to do all day long!!...I make friends wherever i go...it doesn't matter how old you are either...i LOVE adults, grandparents, teenagers and kids...if you will play with me....i will play with you!!



3. mommy says i have too much ENERGY....but i just like to be on the GO all day long.



4. I love the beach and running from the waves....they always seem to get me though!!



5. I always tell my mommy that i want a baby brother....but then my daddy pipes in and tells me that i don't??



6. I LOVE crowds...the bigger the better...i get this from my daddy...he likes crowds too...i love to talk in front of people just like him!!



7. My favorite music to dance to....Carrie Underwood...i know all the words too!!....Mommy says that i like country music just like her!



8. I love to go to church, MOPS, Preschool....anything that gets me around a lot of kids....remember...i am a very social 4 yr old.



9. I can write my first and last name!! i like school and i like to learn too!!



10. My best friend is my sister....she is fun and we like to play and make messes...it drives mommy and daddy nuts though.



Maddie:



1. i think my parents were confused when they named me.....they tell me my name is Madison....but they never call me that unless i get in trouble;) they call me Maddie, Mad, and they call me SASSY a lot too....not sure where they get that...it sounds nothing like Madison!!



2. personality!!!!!....i think i have a very distinct one even at the age of 3....basically.....I know what I want and WHEN I want it. my mommy likes to think it is because of my age....but don't tell her i think it is more ME;)



3. I am NOT scared...point me to the slide and i will go down head first every time....a lot of times i have to go first to show Taylor it is OK!!



4. my parents talk about this thing called the potty.....i think it is very overrated to STOP playing and run to the bathroom...there are NO toys in there!! mommy says though that if i want to go to school next year i MUST get better at this.



5. i have a big girl bed....it is great...the funny thing is....i have NEVER gotten out of it after my parents put me in it....even in the mornings i yell for my mommy to come in and get me....mommy says this is one of her favorite qualities about me!!



6. I do NOT like to be telled NO...in fact if you do tell me that awful word...it hurts me so much i can cry on the spot!! i am very sensitive.



7. my social life is a little different than my sisters....I am NOT shy.....i just like people to EARN my love....if they do understand me then i will LOVE THEM!!



8. i have a slight obsession with my BEAR....actually this extends to all "my friends"...i have to have certain ones with me in my bed....sometimes they hide under my pillow and i have to call daddy in to go get them for me..i don't tell them where they are so he looks all over the house and then he acts annoyed when he finds them under my pillow??



9. i know just what to say to my daddy to get him to tickle me real good....i look at him with my sassy look...and say very distinctly "you're not my friend anymore". i don't say this to be mean people....remember they call me Sassy A LOT around here....every time i say that...daddy grabs me and starts tickling me all over...I LOVE IT!!



10. i have a secret for you all but you can't tell anyone.....are you ready....first...my dad "thinks" he controls this house.....that is very WRONG....then.... my mom "thinks" she is in charge around here....that is wrong as well.....third.....taylor "thinks" she has some control around here as well....still wrong....ready for the right answer people....YUP...i might be the smallest and youngest....the control lies within me;) ha...don't tell though...it could spoil EVERYTHING i have going here!!



OK people....those were the interviews.....and now you won't wonder after reading these 20 facts why I (Crissie) am so looking forward to my upcoming trip away;) ha.

wow...its been a long time!!

well well well....it HAS been awhile since i have updated everyone!! like march...April has gone by very fast. good things have been happening...just at a very fast pace. can i just say I AM READY FOR NICE WEATHER!!! here in CO it seems like we get a tease of wonderful weather...then a snow storm passes through then nice weather again. this drives my kids nuts!! they are so ready to get outside!!

Don has been doing good lately....he had a few trips earlier this month but has been home for awhile which is good. His next trip is Monday morning. The national Campus Life team was meeting and someone donated a wonderful place in Cabo!!! this is a small 15 room resort. so when this happened they decided to open the trip for people to bring their spouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was very much in favor of this idea!!!!!!!!!:) so....next Monday i get to go WITH DON!!! I am very excited to get away for 6 days with my hubby and with some great YFC friends! this trip is just what the doctor ordered!! My mom is going to come over and stay with the kiddos. i am sure they will have a great time!! it will be busy so it should go by quick for them.

I have been good lately as well. some new projects have come up for me which is good. I am co leading a MOPS program with other mothers in the area and that has gone really well so far!! I am also starting a local spouse get together with other spouses in YFC. I am keeping busy with the kids and all their places to be.

Taylor is about 3 weeks from the finish of preschool...man that has gone fast. she is also getting ready to turn 5!!! WOW...how can that be??? time does go fast people!! she wants to have a princess party...so we are...she will love it. tis the season for birthday parties....so she has gone to a few parties...almost all have the same theme...princess!! she is very excited.

Maddie is FINALLY turning the corner on the potty training concept. can i get an AMEN!! oh my goodness this has been a process with her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we started to get serious about potty training in JANUARY....that is NOT a typo people....and yes we have been struggling for MONTHS...it is now APRIL and i feel like we are finally making headway!! i do NOT totally trust her yet....but the string of days without accidents are adding up so i do think she is finally letting me see the light;) this child is crazy!! She continues to fill our days with fun energy. she is very much into dressing up as you will see with the pics....and likes to dress daddy up too!!...i am sure he will love that i posted these pics;0 but what i love about my hubby is that he PLAYS with his girls so i had to post them!!

That sums up things i guess....i am off to the store to get some fixings for a dinner party we are hosting tonite!! have a great day!!
