Easter Pics

Happy Easter!!!!!!!! Hope everyone had a great day celebrating yesterday that in Taylor's words...."Jesus is alive!!". We had a nice weekend. Some great weather and time to relax and hang out with each other. We colored our eggs on Saturday, went to church on Sunday, had our egg/basket hunt on Sunday too. The girls of course screamed with such excitement after finding each egg!! It was a fast/loud hunt at the Talley house!! I took some pics to share with everyone!! Hope your day was as fun as ours.

Easter Dresses...how cute are these little girls!

Hmmm..where could those eggs be???

I see one....me too!!

Checking out the loot...not too hard to impress these kids...a new coloring book, bubbles, and a bath toy and they are good to go!!

New addition to the family, Random pics and updates

Well, my first question is....is blogger being weird for anyone else?? Sorry for the picture placement, but blogger isn't letting me move the pics. Hope everyone is doing good.

We have been doing really well lately. Don has been gone a lot this month. He got home on Friday completely wiped out from a busy trip this last week. I hope today is better for him than the last two days have been. He has been pretty tired and in a lot of pain lately. The girls have been good and busy. Maddie seems to always be busy running around the house putting on as many princess dresses and accessories that she can get on!! she loves to play dress up and be a princess named...Minnie of course! She even has a voice that she talks in and if don or i are to mistakenly call her Maddie she politely says in her high pitched voice "NO, Minnie!!". Taylor keeps busy with her coloring and her writing. Her newest skill is that she wants to know how to write my name (mommy), Don's name(daddy), and Madison's name. She does pretty good at writing every one's name. We are having a play date this week with one of the girls in her class at school, so she is looking forward to that!
I am doing pretty good too!! my schedule seems to be filling up a little more...that always helps me when i have places to go!! I started MOPS again this past week and that is just really fun!! MOPS is mothers of preschoolers...it is a program where moms of toddlers can come together and hear speakers, do crafts, and meet other moms!! I am on the steering committee for this program so that is fun to be in charge of something other than the kiddos!! we have a really good group this year so i am excited to see what is going to happen through this group!

I have not been taking too many pics lately...my mom had a birthday a few weeks ago so we had a little "party" for her and of course my girls had to "help" with everything. Also, we do have a new addition to the family....NO no babies....;) Don finally got me a new vacuum cleaner!!! mine has been dying for about a year now!!! can i say...I LOVE THIS VACUUM!! i vacuumed 3 days ago....and my floors still look like they have just been vacuumed...AMAZING!! I also got some random shots of the girls this morning so i would have some to post...Madison was in the picture mood...Taylor was not;)

Have a good week!!

The Happiest Place on Earth

After a crazy schedule during the week of YFC's national staff conference in San Diego, the Talley's took a few days and traveled to L.A. to enjoy Disneyland!

The girls were obviously excited about the trip. They could not wait to check into Mickey's own hotel. The lobby did not dissapoint. Goofy was there to welcome us and the festivities began. My old roommate in San Diego, Bob, hooked us up with his dad and step mom who happens to be an executive at Disney. We were given the royal treatment. A sweet two room suite... tickets into the park... even breakfast with our favorite Disney friends!

The best story about the hotel had to be each night we got turn down service complete with Disney chocolates. We never saw house keeping (or should I say "mouse keeping") but the girls were convinced that Mickey himself visited the room and left us the treats. One morning, Taylor walked into the other room and found some more treats and exclaimed... "Mickey came and left these while we slept! That sneaky mouse!" Madison however was convinced she saw him during the night and he woke her up. Actually, we had someone come in and fix the air conditioner during the night... hey it could have been Mickey!

The park was a blast! The girls searched for all their Disney friends, rode rides like Dumbo, Nemo and the Tea Cups. We went swimming and enjoyed the famous Disney electric parade to cap off an incredible fun two days.

Thank you Rudy and Maritza! We are grateful!

Finally Back Home and LOTS to tell and show....

Well, we are now home from our San Diego trip!! All things considered...it was a great trip. The first week or so Don and I were at a YFC conference called Midwinter. The girls went to Aunt Debbie's to be with family for the week. Both Don and I were very busy with the conference. Mid winter is always so fun because we can connect with YFC staff from all over the country. There were around 700 staff there. The weather was pretty rainy and cold but the second week the weather was perfect.

After the conference we went to Don's home church and reconnected with a lot of friends over there. They had a wonderful luncheon for us and it was a great time to share our ministry perspective with them. We also had a lot of family around us the whole time we were in SD!! Don's sister, Debbie, and family live down there, Don's mom and step dad drove over and were a huge help with the kids. We also had Don's dad and grandparents drive down and Grandpa Talley celebrated his 90th birthday party with us!!

It was a great time seeing old friends!! These are some pics from our trip. The last day of our trip we were able to go to disneyland with the kiddos....more about that later...i will save those pics for another post as well!!(there are a lot of those!!)

These first couple pics are some YFC coworkers and precious friends!! It was fun hanging out with this group:)

Above is our good friend Rachael...she and her husband lived in Sacramento when we did and have recently moved back to San Diego. To the left are some old club kids of Dons and good friends Brad and Nate.

Hanging out with family.

This is Grandpa with his cake....and of course licking off the frosting!!

Sweet hugs for Great Grandpa!!

Don loves his Grandpa Talley...he has so much respect for this man and the way he lives his life!! This really is precious time that we get to be around them!!! He looks pretty good for 90 huh!! We love you Grandma and Grandpa Talley!!
