Hope you and yours are having a great day!! I just wanted to share these two pics of our little Valentines!!! No big plans for us this year....since we are leaving for a trip on Monday. We figured we would be able to do our celebrating out there!! Hope you had a great day!

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks...I guess I haven't been taking too many pics!!! I will take lots in San Diego!!!

This is Taylor and Maddie getting ready to make Valentine cupcakes and cookies with Grandma...they had tons of fun!! They are actually getting to an age where cooking with them is easier so it is more enjoyable. They do a great job at taking turns and tasting:)

Taylor had Rodeo day at preschool the other day...they had a bunch of games, made horses and crafts, and had a lot of sugar i think ;) This is what she wore to Rodeo day....we don't have too many Rodeo clothes, but she wore her cowboy hat from Texas....and her jean jacket! She said she would "pretend" to have cowgirl boots. I told her that would be great!

These next few pics are from a new place of fun we found for the winter time. it is a place in Colorado Springs by my mom's house called "mr biggs". It is a huge indoor game place (go carts, golf, bowling, etc.), but the have a huge toddler area that is very reasonably priced!! So we invited our friends Angela and her two year old Kalllie and the kids LOVED it. They want to go their everyday!! It was so much fun....I even got them both to NAP that day....fun stuff people!!

Quick Update....

I guess I kind of left everyone hanging after our bad week last week. (i've been getting e-mails and phone calls). This week has been better!!! Thank Goodness!! Our best guess for what Don was dealing with was some sort of infection. His urine is now back to normal and the pain has subsided. Praise God. Taylor got sick this weekend, but Maddie and I never got it so that is good.

Don is on his way home from Arizona as I type!! He had a short trip there for some quick meetings. The girls and I are good....can't wait for our trip to San Diego. We have a lot to do before we go, but we are just so excited to go and see good friends, family and YFC staff from around the USA! I am sure Don will keep busy getting everything on the work end ready to go.

Pics WILL come this weekend...after don can give me one more lesson on the camera:)...I'll take some good pics tomorrow...my mom is coming over to help us make some Valentine Cookies. The girls are SOOOOO very excited to cook with Grandma. It should be messy....I mean FUN!!

A Terrible, No Good, Very HARD Week

Well, still no pics, but not for my lack of knowledge this time....you will find out later as you continue to read about our unlucky week!!! This week was challenging in many ways. I will share a few with you right now.

First, Don woke up Monday morning feeling horrible. He didn't sleep well and had some congestion and coughing going on. So, we originally thought he was just going to have a cold or something...we were WRONG!!! On Monday he was really out of it...to show you how much....he didn't even ASK for his LAPTOP people!!!!!!!!! If you know my husband you realize that he must have really been sick then!!! He slept most of Monday and i kept him locked in our bedroom to shield the kids from him!

On Tuesday Don started feeling worse and then another problem came up. He started urinating blood. So, off to the doctor for us. He had a combination of the flu and something else.( we are still trying to find that answer). Right now our best guess for what is going on is a Kidney stone. Don is experiencing a fair amount of pain on and off in his lower left back. His kidneys are functioning fine and his blood work is good.

On Wednesday Don was trying to get to some e-mails that were piling up....and the horrible BLUE SCREEN appeared.....basically his hard drive crashed. So, there goes files, pics, money/tax stuff and so much more. GEEEZZZ. So the laptop went to the tech guys at YFC and we still don't know what they were able to save or not.

On Thursday Don just remained very weak...he would answer the phone and work a little and then go lie down to regroup!! He had not been eating much all week so his body which is already weak was weaker.

On Friday we went back to the doctor for more tests....still not sure...but pry a stone. Then we were hoping for some good news....our mini van had been in the shop and was ready to be picked up....so we went to get it. Well, on the way from the garage to us.....the guy ran over a nail....and our whole tire was flat. So, we waiting another 20 minutes and finally got our van.

So, needless to say we are all tired!!! Don has been eating the last two days so that has been good. He is still having the pain. I am exhausted from tending to don and the girls all week I have had it!!!

Hopefully next week will be better....it can't get worse can it????!!??!!
